Full Weekend

We made our weekly trip over to Waterloo on Saturday. As Adam says, Cedar Falls doesn't have anything when it comes to shopping. He is correct, we don't. Waterloo has all of the home stores (Home Depot, Menards and Lowe's), Barnes and Noble, pet stores, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond-you get the picture. Even though it is only 15 minutes away it seems like it always consumes most of the day...which it usually does.

Anyway, we wanted to go to Toys R Us and pick up a few things for Reagan. Our daycare provider Julie hasn't been able to stop talking about how much Reagan loves this Cozy Coupe car made by Little Tikes. So we thought we would check it out. When we pulled up we got to give Reagan a little lesson on shop lifting as there were two police cars and a police officer on a motorcyle detaining two teenagers for stealing video games. Always a little added excitment when you go over to Waterloo.

Reagan squuealed with excitment when we walked in. After a quick walk through we found what we were looking for and headed to our next stops so we could get home and get her car put together. Of course she couldn't wait to get into the car.

Reagan helping Adam put together her car.

We were outside today from about 12:30-6 enjoying the beautiful spring day. We played with bubbles, rode in the cozy coupe, and went for a walk around Prarie Lake which isn't too far from home. Hopefully Reagan sleeps well tonight--I know I will!!

Playing with bubbles.

She got a little frustrated when she couldn't get the bubble wand into the bubbles...which caused a minor melt down!

Reagan got tired of riding so we let her walk a little. She thought that she could pull the wagon for us.

We spent a lot of time playing with her cozy coupe! Notice her blankie is with her!

I hope everyone was able to enjoy the weather as much as we did!! Have a great week!

And She's Off!

We officially have a walker in our house!! For about a month now she has been taking a few steps here and there. That turned into walking around the living room and now she is full on walking! She only becomes more steady as the days go by. She still drops down to her knees to crawl every once in awhile but she is doing great! I am sure there are a few bumps and bruises in our near future!

Blankie

About a month ago Reagan started to really favor one blankie over all her others. Now we can't leave the house without it. She sleeps with it, she carries it around the house with her and it is always one thing that will comfort her if she is upset. It has gotten to the the point that I have even checked Kohl's to see if they still sell it just in case we lose it someplace (and they don't)! I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing...I guess we will just see how bad this attachment gets!

In the meantime, enjoy a few pictures of Reagan and her blankie.

Play Date

Last Sunday afternoon we had a play date with some good friends of ours Brook and Andy and their daughter Laikyn. The girls were born about five weeks apart and are in kindermusik together. I got to know Brook at UNI and now we teach together.

Anyway, we went out to their farm and enjoyed some fresh air even though it was a little chilly and windy. They loved the wagon rides and spent a lot of time looking at each other. It's funny how they know that the other one is their same size.

We had a few laughs about how you can tell Reagan lives in the city with her wagon and Laikyn is ready for country roads with her real tires.

It was a perfect day for bubbles!

Happy Easter!!

We spent the Easter weekend with my parents in Cedar Rapids. We had a very busy weekend but it was a lot of fun! Reagan got to have an Easter Egg Hunt with all of her cousins on my side of the family on Saturday. She caught on easily and had a blast filling her bucket full of eggs!

On Sunday we got up and went to church. We tend to sit a little closer with my parents than what we do at our church but as usual Reagan did great! She didn't make a sound! After church we came home and got ready for Easter dinner. My grandma Bricker and Denise joined us this year. We had a nice visit before it was time to pack up and head home.

Some pictures of Reagan in her Easter dress.

It's a....

...healthy baby! I had my big appointment last Thursday. We had an ultra sound and got word that the baby is healthy and growing! It is always so nice to hear that everything looks good!! The heart rate was 149 and the baby weighs 14oz right now. The baby was very active and moving all over the place. It is currently breech but they told me not to worry at this stage. My due date is still August 9. It will be here before we know it!

Here are some ultra sound pictures.

Trip to the Park

Last week we enjoyed some beautiful weather, it was a bit windy but warm! Adam took Thursday afternoon off and we took Reagan to the park. I think I have posted earlier that she loves being outside so she was in hog heaven!

Enjoying the swings

She loved climbing on the equipment and going up and down the stairs!

Going down the slides

We all had so much fun but Reagan was the only one who cried when we got back into the car! I am sure we will make several trips to the park this summer. It isn't far from home so it will be something that I can take Reagan on summer afternoons.
