SURPRISE!!!

Both of my parents celebrated their 60Th birthdays this month. My dad's was on March 15 and my mom's on March 20. I wanted to do something special and memorable for them because they deserve the world. As I was setting things up I also had a surprise of my own. My mom was teaming up with one of her good church friends who was turning 50 a week after her and they were going to throw a small party with just their church friends. They decided they were going to throw themselves their own little party so nobody could surprise them! HA I had them beat! I just couldn't wait for the day to come to see their faces and to let the secret was out of the bag!

It was a lot of fun and boy were they surprised! They thought we were just going out to dinner as a family and then heading to church!!

Happy First Birthday Ella

Reagan and I went and helped cousin Ella celebrate her first birthday. We had a lot of fun and were happy that we could celebrate with her! Here are a few pictures of Ella and her cake. She wasn't so sure about it.

Radio Flyer

My parents got Reagan a Radio Flyer Wagon for Christmas. We haven't been able to break it out until recently. When Adam pulled it out of the box she immdeiatly wanted to sit in it and didn't like that she had to wait. It was a little cold the day he assembled it so we thought we would just pull her around in the house. Since she loved it so much we thought why not bundle her up and take her for a quick walk. Now every time we walk past it in the garage she whines and reaches out for it! She loves the wagon!! She also loves being outside. We've had a couple nice days already this spring and have taken full advantage of them! This summer is going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait until the weather is nice and we can spend a lot of time outside!

All Smiles

Can she be any cuter!!

One week with out Adam

Adam had a business conference to go to in Austin Texas in the middle of March. He was gone for about a week. I was a little nervous about being home alone the entire time but am happy to say that I made it!! I only had one night that I was either going to call the cops or a neighbor. It was sometime after midnight and I woke up to one of Reagan's toys going off. I laid in bed trying to get up the courage to go out into the living room and investigate. I grabbed the Mag lite and slowly walked out. Sure enough Ellie was sound asleep on the couch and all was quiet. I knew what toy it was so I made sure it was turned off and went back to bed. About 30 minutes later I heard it again. I knew that it was turned off!! So I get the courage up to go out into the living room again and nothings changed. Ellie is still sound asleep, the toy is still turned off but something was making that noise!! I decided to bring it back to the room with me so if it decided to speak again I knew I wasn't the one playing with it! Of course it didn't!

The rest of the week went fine. We were both very happy to have Adam home though! I truly don't know how single mother's do it!!

Stairs

The only stairs we have in our house are the ones that lead to the basement. Anytime we go downstairs or up we are always carrying Reagan. When I picked Reagan up from Daycare a couple of weeks ago I was standing in the kitchen and Reagan was in the livingroom. She crawled right on over to see me, when I went to grab her so she wouldn't have to go up the three steps, Julie told me she can go up them! I had no idea!! Of course we had to try it out that weekend and sure enough she can our stairs now!! As you can see we have a few more steps than Julie has but she wanted to keep going up them, after four times we called it quits!

Last week when I picked her up Reagan got to show off that she knows how to go down Julie's three steps...we won't be trying our 20 anytime soon!

Reading Books with Daddy

Reagan absolutly loves her books and boy does she have a lot of them! She can spend what seems like forever thumbing through the pages and and looking at the pictures. I must say her favorites are the ones with the flaps. My Grandma gave her one for Christmas that is called SO BIG and we read that one almost daily!
