First Date
Well we finally did it! Adam and I had our first date on Friday night since Reagan was born! I don't want you to think we went all out and got crazy though. I had arranged for my parents to come up and watch Reagan so we could go out for dinner. Adam has been asking for awhile but I just haven't been ready. So we started with baby steps. Originally we said that we would leave and let them do the bedtime routine but I was dragging my heels a little so we let Grandma put her to bed while we hung out with my dad just in case Grandma needed anything. I am sure we will look back this in a couple of months or even years and laugh! Anyway, we went to The Texas Roadhouse and actually ended up running into some friends unexpectedly. We were able to share some laughs and have some adult conversations before checking in for the night. Thanks mom and dad for letting us be "adults" again!!

Carrots and Feet
It has been so much fun feeding Reagan different baby foods. We have introduced something new about once a week. Last week I fed her peas for the first time. I about died laughing from her reaction! She went from eating peaches which she absolutely loves to a bite of peas. I put it in her mouth and she literally gaged when she tried swallowing it.
Yesterday we introduced carrots. Can you tell daddy was in charge of feeding her?!?!

Reagan also discovered her feet over the weekend. She has noticed them before but never took an interest in them. Now she is entertained by them for several minutes at a time. She loves sucking on her big toes, hey it's cheap entertainment!

Here is one final picture of our baby girl turning seven months old last Friday.

Pearly Whites
Reagan hasn't gotten any new teeth but the two that she has certainly are getting bigger! I snapped this picture this weekend and thought I would share it. She is still working on tooth number three. I swear it keeps surfacing and then goes back down. She is drooling like crazy and can't get her toys or shirts far enough in her mouth!
Road Trip to MN
We left Friday after work for a weekend trip to Minnesota. We hadn't been up there since Reagan was born so she got to meet her Grandma Pat and cousins. I was really nervous about the car ride because Reagan usually goes to bed around 6:45 or 7 and I knew that we wouldn't be pulling in until 8:30 or 9. Reagan strives on her routines and doesn't do well if we deviate from them too much. I am happy to report that she did awesome! A quick nap on the way up helped her stay awake a little longer to play with Grandma Pat when we got there. We left on Sunday at her morning nap time so she took a nap on the way home...waking up of course in Medford to do a little power shopping with Mommy!
While in MN this weekend we went to an Apple Orchard. I was really excited because Adam and I have talked about going to one but just never have. We were a week or two too early but the weather was perfect and it was nice because there weren't a ton of people there. We got to walk around the orchard a little bit, the cousins got to pet some goats, horses and bunnies. They had a big haystack to play on and a tractor ride around the orchard.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

The family after the tractor ride around the orchard.

A quick cousin photo after playing on the haystack. As you can see nobody was real thrilled about a photo shoot!

Reagan loves being outside so she was all smiles!

Reagan hanging out with her cousin Emily.

Saying goodbye to Grandma Pat on Sunday.

All tuckered out from the long weekend...so Reagan is taking a little nap with daddy.
Thanks for a great weekend! It was great to see everyone!

Labor Day Weekend
We did absolutely nothing over the Labor Day Weekend! We left the house to go to Target on Saturday afternoon and to get groceries on Sunday. Adam and I both have been fighting allergies and have been praying for rain to clear up the air...no such luck though! Reagan has been all stuffed up as well. We aren't sure if she is teething again (this seems to be an ongoing thing), if she has a cold or if she is fighting allergies too. She is still her happy self but was a little needy and clingy this weekend.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and found some time to relax and spend time with family and friends!
We are heading to MN this coming weekend to spend time with Adam's family up there. It is our annual PanCAN bike ride weekend. This is the third year for the family team in memory of Adam's dad Milt. We won't be riding this year but still are looking forward to some fun family time! I will post pictures next week!

Ben
Please also continue to keep Adam's brother Ben in your prayers. He called home on Sunday afternoon. He is back from his mission but while they were away the Taliban laid more mines in the town of Now Zad, which is not good for the Marines that will replace Ben's unit. Ben thinks that he will be deployed in late October or early November which is great news! Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers.
Good News...but at the same time bad news.
My dad's MRI looked good yesterday! There were no signs of a tumor like they originally thought and saw on his previous CT Scan. It was a long seven weeks for all of us! They did receive some not so good news though. The doctors at Mayo now believe that there really isn't anything they can do for him. He has another appointment with his neurologist in Cedar Rapids in the middle of September but as of now there are no plans of returning to Mayo. Please keep him in your prayers. It would be so nice if some of his pain could be eliminated.
